Firefighters rescued a beloved cocker spaniel while fighting an apartment fire on the 300 block of W. Lomita on Dec. 20. The dog was unconscious when brought outside but was revived when Glendale Fire paramedics gave it oxygen.

The ABC7 & Firefighters' SPARK OF LOVE Toy Drive has again been a huge success. Many thousands of toys have been donated at Glendale Fire Stations and CVS/Pharmacy stores and were immediately sorted and trucked to local charities for distribution. Despite the recent economic downturn, there has been no lack of generosity from citizens of the Jewel City!
